McGill Productions has secured three shortlist nominations at the Prolific North Creative Awards 2025 — one of the most respected awards programmes celebrating creative work across the north of England. The nominations span two standout campaigns and recognise excellence in social content, sound design, and motion graphics animation.
For a production company built around the belief that creative ambition and commercial results are not in conflict, this recognition means a great deal. Both campaigns represent work built on clear thinking and genuine craft, delivered for clients with real things at stake.

Soundtrack to Your Summer — Protein Works
In a landscape of glossy nutrition content, Protein Works wanted something that made people feel their products rather than just see them. We built a sound-first social campaign — custom foley, live-captured diegetic audio, and bespoke soundscapes — that put audio at the centre of the creative. Slow-motion pours, underwater shots, and hyper-detailed close-ups gave the visuals the same sensory energy as the sound. The result: 9.5M+ views across social platforms, a Silver Davey Award, and two Prolific North Creative Awards shortlistings.
Launch on Legion — Almanak
Almanak is an AI-powered DeFi platform that gives everyday investors access to institutional-grade trading strategies — genuinely groundbreaking technology, with a genuinely difficult communications challenge. We produced a brand film and motion graphics package that needed to make a complex proposition feel clear, credible, and compelling simultaneously. The campaign supported Almanak’s live raise and global launch, converting complex financial narratives into content that moved investors and built confidence at scale.
The Prolific North Creative Awards celebrate the most innovative and impactful work produced across Northern England and Scotland. A shortlist placement represents real independent scrutiny of both creative quality and commercial outcome — these are not participation awards.
For us, recognition of this kind matters because it reflects what we actually care about: clarity of thinking, confidence in execution, and work that delivers something real for clients. Both campaigns were built around problems that required genuine creative problem-solving, not just production values.
Results to be announced. We will share the outcome here.
